Responsibilities:
- Selling new business and cross selling
- Providing service to personal lines clients
- Providing customers with prompt service by providing advice, discussing customer concerns, and including but not limited to walk-ins, emails, and phone calls
- Understanding of insurance coverage options, underwriting guidelines, and industry regulations
- Understanding of basic marketing principles and tactics
- Analyze client’s situations and assess risks to make the right recommendations, calculate premiums, and identify coverage gaps
- Entering and updating clients’ information in our BMS system
- Preparing documentation for insurers; completing applications for new clients; and issuing binders
- Communicating with insurance companies and underwriters regarding policy changes, renewals, and new business
- Following up with adjusters on claims status
- Updating of insurance summaries to correspond with current change requests.
- Keeping current with activities and workload
- Follow branch workflows
Required Qualifications:
- Alberta general Level 1 insurance license
- Proficient in Microsoft office 365 experience
- Writing: adequate non-verbal communication skills
- Provide prompt and exceptional customer service
- Effective time management
- Good rapport: accuracy importance is high for this role, consistency, and reliability
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of personal lines experience
- Experience with Epic is an asset
- Ability to multi-task, problem solve, critical think and be detailed oriented in a fast-paced environment
- Able to be pro-active and work both independently, and as a part of a team
- Positive and respectful attitude with both clients and co-workers
- High degree of professionalism and integrity

Salary:
- $50,000 - $65,000 (Negotiable)
- Commission option available
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday 9:00 am -5:30 pm
